Our clinic provides physiotherapy treatment sessions. Direct billing where your plan allows. If a compression garment is clinically appropriate and the client is interested, we can help arrange garment options through our clinic.We do not bill insurance for compression garments. Private and extended health insurance for physiotherapy
Many employer-sponsored or individually purchased extended health benefit plans include coverage for physiotherapy, massage therapy, or occupational therapy. Where your plan covers these services, lymphedema treatment sessions at our clinic may be eligible for reimbursement. We provide an itemized receipt after each session showing the service, treating clinician's name and credentials, and diagnosis information — the standard documentation most insurers require. Some plans allow direct billing. Please ask when you book.

What to bring to your appointment?
- Your insurance member card with group number, policy number, and member ID
- Confirmation from your insurer of which therapy disciplines are covered and any documentation requirements
- If available, referral or prescription from your physician or nurse practitioner for lymphedema physiotherapy
- Ontario Health Card
We recommend calling your insurer before your first appointment to confirm your benefit and what documentation they require for reimbursement.
How we support you through the process?
- Providing manual lymph drainage and complex decongestive physiotherapy where clinically appropriate.
- Issuing a detailed itemized receipt after each session for submission to your insurer, with direct billing available to many major insurance providers where your plan allows.
- Advising which therapy discipline may apply to your specific benefits plan, based on your treating clinician and insurer requirements.
- Helping you navigate other funding options that may be available if eligible.
- Providing letters of medical necessity or supporting documentation for appeal purposes when needed.
- Where clinically indicated, we can also guide referrals for advanced therapy or additional services beyond the scope of our clinic.
